Because of your posts on Stamford I was made aware of their Assembly Rooms and visited them last week. They were beautiful and I could easily see the Regency couples dancing, sipping ratafia, or playing at cards. I was also able to visit Bath this week and their Assembly Rooms and all of the other sites. Thanks for your reviews. This was only my 3rd trip to England and I knew better what to see this time!

I’m so glad you were abel to visit them ! Very different from the grand sets in large cities like Bath Im sure you will now agree: but very atmospheric just the same
Im adding to the Bath pages gradually: my recent visit there spawned many ideas for posts in my head…I just need the children to go back to school so that I can actually write some ideas down!
