This letter always reminds me of the Dashwood ladies' search for a new home, especially Mrs. Austen's inclination to favor a house she has never seen inside (which just seems like a Mrs. Dashwood/Marianne kind of thing to do). I wish all my copies of Austen's letters and her bios included maps like this; for those of us who have never been so privileged as to visit Bath, they are excessively helpful. Thanks!

Thanks Cathy.

Can I leave Trim Street fora while-I'll be coming back to it soon to talk about the time the Austen ladies lived there, next week?

I believe I've got to stop rating everything "Excellent." I have no where to go above that, and yet they are all excellent. I guess I just have to say this one is MORE excellent than usual. I really enjoyed this 1801 trip around Bath with my friend, Julie, and her friend, Jane, looking for a new home.

I do have one question: What was wrong with Trim Street for Cassandra? I do hope you haven't already mentioned this at some point, and, keep in mind that I'm a neophyte Janeite, so if it's something I should already know, I blush to disclose that I do NOT!

Thank you,
